Don’t Get Tangled In Red Tape

Did you know that fundraising raffles are considered games of chance?

Many stRed Tapeates tightly regulate raffles and failure to comply with raffle laws is considered a serious offense.  Therefore it is very important for your charitable group to find out your state’s raffle laws, and whether or not you can hold a raffle at all.  Even if games of chance are not allowed in your state, there may be other ways in which your group can hold a fundraiser and sell tickets, so don’t give up.

Click on the map for a summary of raffle laws and regulations on a state-by-state basis, where available.  Keep in mind that these pages are only a summary.  Raffle Ticket Software and Harvest American Inc are not the authorities on the regulations.

NOTE:  Raffle Ticket Software is not the regulatory agency.  We provide this basic information and links to the to the actual state agency for your convenience.  If you have questions or require more information please click on the state regulatory link, where such a link exists, or call your state offices (not us) and request information directly.

Raffles are not permitted in states shown in red.
